It starts at the ground. A standard Jib base is a tripod on a tricycle. Our Jibs mount on a four wheel base that I custom built.
Most notably, this base is stable, maneuverable, and safe. It has 4 wheel steering and rolls on and off track in a heartbeat. With the Jib arm mounted on it, you can roll on or off curbs, up ramps into a pickup truck, I've even rolled it down the stairs around the 30 Rock ice rink. You get the picture. Stable.
The post that supports the Jib arm can telescope up 19 inches. Which is a game changer when you have to get that extra high shot or arm over other cameras.
